Vivaldi - Four Seasons in Vienna The Venetian Vivaldi died 1741 in Vienna. His final restingplace was the St. Charles Church Viva Vivaldi Vivaldis famousviolinconcertos (andsomemore) in amazinginterpretation Charles Church was finished in 1737.

ThreeyearslatertheVenetian priest andcomposer Antonio Vivaldi movedto Vienna anditmaybeacceptedthat he visited this brand new extraordinary sacralbuilding.

As nowadayoneis still attracted by ist architecture to People of the 18th century the Charles Church must have appeared as strange and exceptionally unique. Vivaldi died in Vienna on July 28th 1741. He was buried just a fewmetersfrom Charles Church at “Spitaler God´s Acre“. Today thereisthebuildingof Technical University and just a smallsign on itremindsof Vivaldi.

The grave andthebonesare - like Mozart´s - forgotten. Only a few years before Vivaldi movedto Vienna, he composed his most famous “FourSeasons“, a compilation of four revolutionary concerts for solo violin and string orchestra. For poems (may be written by Vivaldi) are the Image oft he composition which Shows us furious thunder storms and flashes, breaking ice and twittering of birds, sleeping shepherds, barking dogs, a band of hunters....
